Role Description
The Platform Architect is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all tooling and processes related to CI/CD, DevSecOps, and the internal development platform. This role ensures that the development teams have the necessary infrastructure, tools, and processes to deliver high-quality software efficiently and securely. The Platform Architect plays a crucial role in driving the success of the organization by fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Platform Strategy: Define and execute the strategy for the internal development platform, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- CI/CD Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
- DevSecOps: Implement and manage DevSecOps practices to ensure security is integrated into the development process from the start.
- Tooling and Automation: Evaluate, select, and implement tools and automation solutions to enhance the development process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, QA, Cloud Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the platform meets their needs.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, methodologies, and processes to improve the platform capabilities.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize platform performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for platform architectures, processes, and best practices.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure platform solutions adhere to security and compliance standards, implementing necessary controls and monitoring.
What we expect from you
- Experience: Extensive experience in platform management, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and related fields, with a proven track record of leadership and innovation.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), DevSecOps practices, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Mentorship: Strong ability to mentor and develop technical talent.
- Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Security and Compliance: Knowledge of security and compliance standards and best practices.
