Cloud Architect
Role Description
The Cloud Architect is a key technical leader responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that align with the organization’s strategic goals. They play a crucial role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure and services. The Cloud Architect mentors Cloud Engineers and collaborates closely with the Principal Cloud Architect to drive cloud strategy and innovation. The Cloud Architect reports to and is managed by the Principal Cloud Architect.
Responsibilities
- Cloud Strategy: Collaborate with the Principal Cloud Architect to define and execute the cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Architecture and Design: Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures for various applications and services.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide Cloud Engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Best Practices: Advocate for and enforce best practices in cloud architecture, deployment, and operations.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security and compliance standards, implementing necessary controls and monitoring.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring new cloud technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the organization’s cloud capabilities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Solutions Architects, Principal Cloud Architects, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve complex technical challenges related to cloud infrastructure and services.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, processes, and best practices.
